About Me

Hi, I’m L.E. Tate.

I’ve always been the kind of person who follows a question farther than I probably should. One idea turns into research, research turns into another rabbit hole, and somewhere along the way a story usually starts taking shape.

Books and imaginary worlds became an escape for me when real life felt a little too heavy. What started as somewhere to disappear for a while eventually became something I wanted to build for myself.

And that became the goal behind all of this.

I want to create the kind of worlds people can step into when they need somewhere else to be for a while. Somewhere to get lost, breathe, feel something, laugh, hurt, hope, and come back to themselves a little differently than they left.

I have a background in cybersecurity, which probably explains why I’m incapable of leaving a system, history, mystery, or world alone until I understand how all the pieces fit together. I love learning, building things from the ground up, and finding connections in places most people would never think to look.

Outside of writing, I’m a mom, an unapologetic multitasker, and the sort of person who can have far too many tabs open while somehow still knowing exactly which one I need. My life is usually a mixture of books, research, family chaos, creative projects, and whatever strange subject has caught my attention that week.

L.E. Tate Books grew from that same curiosity, but also from something simpler: I wanted to build the kind of escape that books once gave me.

If one of my stories can become that place for someone else, even for a little while, then I’ve done what I came here to do.
